DescriptionI used the Maximum Parsimony method to construct the phylogenetic tree.The MP tree was obtained using the Subtree-Pruning-Regrafting (SPR) algorithm with search level 1 in which the initial trees were obtained by the random addition of sequences (10 replicates).Could you please tell me why I can't change the 10 random sequences addition to 1000 random sequences addition,and I also can't show the distance scale.

Hi Xing,

I am writing in response to your question regarding the MEGA software. I am not able to reproduce the error you describe (unable to change the random sequences addition to 1000). Which version of MEGA are you using? To show the scale bar for a maximum parsimony tree, branch lengths must first be computed. To enable this, click View->Topology Only in the Tree Explorer window.
