Not sure what this user is asking exactly but it seems they want to be able to use blast on the sequences they already have in the alignment explorer. This is possible I believe by right clicking on the sequence name and selecting blast.

Nick seems to think they want the ability to select a sequence in the AE if it is part of a blast search result. His other interpretation is they want us to re-create blast for MEGA so that it uses the sequences in the AE as it\'s dataset.
