DescriptionHi MEGA,
I have been using the 10.1.1 MEGAX beta with good success (albeit seems to run very slowly on my 2015 MacBook Pro running OS 10.14.2 compared to MEGA7), but the rather short beta window expired so I had to load the newer 10.1.4. While this worked for the first sequence data I processed, subsequent efforts would not even load the .mas files into the alignment window. On occasion, if I quit MEGAX and started over, it would work for the first file I loaded, but not subsequent ones. More often however, I could not even load .mas files even after quitting MEGAX. It didn't seem to matter which .mas files I tried to load - ones that worked occasionally did not always work, and others never loaded.

Requested step by step what the user did to recieve this bug, error 4520 is the generic unknown error message.

Hi Nick,
I imported my fasta file and saved it as a mega file in order to build a tree. When I attempt to open the mega file I am able to choose that it is protein coding and invertebrate mitochondrial, but when the program goes to execute the data I receive the the Access Violation message. I have attached one of my data files, but it does the same thing with every data file that I have tried.

error 4520 relates to HC_LogDet_Distance_Could_Not_Be_Computed which is only raised in one place, in TNucDist.ComputeTamKumLogDetDist, which is run when a pairwise distances calculation uses the Tamura-Kumar LogDet model.

  However, 0004520 should be accompinied by an internal error string reading 'LogDet distance could not be computed' if raised correctly. This exception should be handled automatically causing MEGA to generate a red 'n/c' for the cell which could not have its distance computed.

  If an error happens in ComputeTamKumLogDetDist(), it sets the caller's InternalErrId, and InternalErrStr which are used when raising the error message. It must be that at least one cell is not calculable which sets the InternalErrId to HC_LogDet_Distance_Could_Not_Be_Computed, and then another error happens which puts something different in InternalErrStr.
