0002027: Possibility of using .gbk files as input for MEGA
Hello MEGA team,

As the summary describes, I am hoping to know if there would be a way to compare genomes with MEGA using .gbk files.

Thanks!

Hi Zeping,

I am writing in response to your question regarding the MEGA software. No, currently MEGA does not parse .gbk files. However, virtually all genomic data sources will export data in the FASTA format which MEGA can parse.
