0002080: Gamma distribution value
Report bugs or other issues regarding the MEGA software
Report bugs or other issues regarding the MEGA software
Every time I try to set a gamma value in a phylogenetic analysis gave me a 2 value. So I decided to change it for the gamma value suggested (0.35) and every time since then I'm not allowed to change that value, there is a box that appears and says "0.35" is not valid integer value.

But even if I try to run another analysis, apparently I cannot erase the number 0.35.

Can you guys help me?

Hi Ninnet,

I am writing in response to your question regarding the MEGA software. To resolve the issue, you can do the following:

    close MEGA7
go to your local app data folder by typing %appdata% in the Windows Explorer address bar and press the enter key. Delete all folders whose name begins with MEGA7 (e.g. MEGA7_170509_x86_64).
open MEGA7 and the old setting will be removed
do NOT enter a floating point value in that field in the Analysis Preferences Dialog. It is asking for the number (an integer value) of gamma categories, not the gamma parameter. The gamma parameter is not something you provide - it is something that must be calculated.
