Summary | 0002288: CPU use
Description | I'm trying to do some comparisons with Mega. When I run megacc it makes very little use of CPU time (well below 5% of a full CPU), both in Linux (top) and Windows (Task Man.). I tried to "nice" it in Linux, and change its prioriity in Windows (from the Task Man.), to no avail. Running the same dataset directly in MegaX (i.e. graphic interface, no *.mao file) makes full processor use. Thus, run times with megacc are much longer than with MegaX. We want our comparisons to be fair. Any advice?
