Please contact Rajiv Sharma, ISSPM, USDA APHIS MRPBS, at 301-851-2551 or Rajiv.Sharma@aphis.usda.gov.

MEGA 5 was in use and then removed/forbidden to use due to discovered vulnerabilities in Image Magick. Rajiv would like to talk to someone at MEGA regarding MEGA 7.

An email from Glen Stecher and the info from http://69.36.184.213/releaseNotes.php [^] have been provided but apparently some question(s) remain.

Thank you for your assistance.

PHYLIP seems to have changed the format extension for bootstrap values following MrBayes and TreeView. So, I also have changed the export Newick format to be supported by them. MEGA3 now supports both, of course.

Subject: Re: MEGA 7 Software Request

Hi Rajiv,

None of those CVE's are related to our MEGA software. If you look at the details you will see that CVE-2008-6748 is for something named Megacubo, CVE-2009-0186 is related to something named mega-nerd, CVE-2008-5072 refers to K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 3.5.7.0, and CVE-2006-7170 refers to Koan Software Mega Mall. None of these are our MEGA software nor are they used in our software. They just happen to have 'mega' in their names. Also, MEGA5 (2011), MEGA6 (2013), and MEGA7 (2015) are much newer than these CVE's.
