0000028: Bayesian
Hi MEGA - I just downloaded 7, excited to look at Bayesian analysis as mentioned on the shiny new web page, but cannot find it as an option anywhere in the GUI or in the manual - where is it hiding? Thanks - Mark

Hi Mark,

I am writing in response to your question regarding Bayesian methods in MEGA. I can see that the new website is a bit confusing as one might think that Bayesian tree construction has been added to MEGA but really, the Bayesian approach is only used for ancestral sequence inference. I will speak with my colleagues and see if we can update the website to be more clear about this.

Hi Mark,

There has been a bit of talk about adding a full Bayesian framework to MEGA, especially since much of the existing code can be reused for this. However, there is no timeframe set for doing so.
