Summary0002829: Cannot import fasta file correctly
DescriptionWhen I import fasta file for alignment, fasta file was not imported correctly.
I imported 'test.fasta' like below.

~CCTAGTAGTC

However, imported data was shown like below.
st_001| ~ CCTAGTAGTC
st_002| ~ CCTAGTAGTCC
~

Many sequences were added 'C' in the last.
Some sequences were added '' in the last.
Steps To ReproduceALLIGN > Edit/Build Alignment > Retrieve a sequence from a file > Select test.fasta > Open

Dear Britta,

You may remember that back on 5/18/11 you sent in a bug report about not being able to open the MEGA software program a second time after installing it. We have been working hard to smooth out the issues with the Mac version. If you are still interested we have a new version of the MEGA installer, which we hope will fix the issues you experienced. You can download it from here

http://update.megasoftware.net/temporary/MEGA5.05_Setup_1_6_12.dmg [^]

First remove the old MEGA version by dragging it to the trash can from your /Applications folder, then download this new version and place it in your /Applications folder, or wherever you want. It’s important that you move the program to /Applications (anywhere outside the .dmg folder) before you run it for the first time.
