Dear Benardo,

Could you please respond to this email with the output you get when you try to install MEGA? Being able to see the messages of exactly what happened is the only way I can tell what is going on.

Of course, I get a message now stating that it is already installed. When I look for it in applications I can't find it; although in synaptic appears as already installed but I can't access it,I tried reinstalling it but it doesn't works. Here is the output:

The file megapublickey.txt which MEGA downloads is simply a public key for the MEGA repository. This ensures that the files you download from our repository haven’t been altered since we uploaded them, it’s part of making any repository secure.

If the MEGA icon didn’t appear on your desktop, you can still run MEGA by opening a terminal window and using the command ‘mega’. It looks like MEGA is correctly installed (at least based on your output). Please let me know what happens when you try to run the ‘mega’ command if MEGA doesn’t launch.
