0000032: taxa names editing in tree explorer
Hi! in previous versions it was possible to edit/grab the taxa names. In the current version of M7 it is impossible as I can see. Please return this functionality since it significantly helps to analyze/correct the final tree.

Found a for loop that was causing each sequence to be copied NoSites times before being added to the alignment. I don't know why this was so as it seemed to serve no purpose. The looping copy allocated memory and eventually created a crippling memory leak.

Hi Ilya,

I am writing in response to the bug report you recently submitted regarding the MEGA software. The name editing feature in MEGA's Tree Explorer has been removed as part of re-factoring the Tree Explorer to use a custom drawing canvas that supports drawing of much larger trees. Unfortunately, the name editing feature as implemented in MEGA is not compatible with the new drawing canvas and since it is an undocumented feature it is not high on the developers priority list so it may be a while before it is re-implemented. Perhamps you could just edit taxa names beforehand.
