0003398: MEGA 11 is not working on my Windows 11 HP Envy laptop
I have been trying to perform Maximum Likelihood phylogenetic analysis on my Windows 11 (recently updated) HP Envy laptop, but the MEGA 11 software is closing automatically every time. I did not face this problem when I had Windows 10. Can you please help me get rid of this problem? Thank you very much.

Dear Krishna,

I have reviewed the bug report you submitted last week (7/22). I am asking if you could supply me with the sequence data file, and the settings you used to produce the trees. It would be much easier to see the problem and debug the issue if I were able to reproduce both the trees and understand what settings were used. Do you happen to remember which version of MEGA 5 Beta you used, we released several beta versions before the final MEGA 5.

Hi there,

I am writing in response to the bug report you recently submitted regarding the MEGA software. Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately MEGA has not been tested on Windows 11 although it should run fine on that operating system. You could try re-installing MEGA to see if that resolves the issue.

Best regards,
