I am Dr Ali Zohaib currently teaching Bioinformatics Minor to my students in Pakistan. We have old computers with 32 bit windows. We wanted to install MEGA7 32 bit on our computers. However, we are unable to download 32 bit version of MEGA 7. Your kind support is needed in this regard. Thanks

Hello Frederik,

I am responding to the bug report you submitted regarding a failure to open an alignment file in MEGA. I took a look at the file and found that the first 2 sequences are of different length than the rest. Because of this, when MEGA finishes reading the third sequence, it throws an error. I converted the file to Fasta format, aligned it and converted it back to the native MEGA format (see attached) and it opens fine. I am not sure how the .meg file was created with sequences of unequal length, but anyway it is easily fixed.
