Sent a note to Koichiro describing the problem and he asked that we set the length of array of char that storing taxa names to 1028 instead of 128. This is not a complete solution to the problem (it would be better to use a string type whose length is dynamic) but it seems that taxa names this long will be very rare, if they are encountered at all. I will apply Koichiro's suggestion
