0003850: Keeps crashing while running alignment
I am trying to perform a DNA sequence alignment using a file from my system. The "Progress" window pops up and immediately crashes, shutting down the tool itself. I am trying to do it for 5-6 times now. It's still the same.

According to the mafft website there doesn't appear to be any specific preset to use for alignment of nucleotides vs. protein data. There are some more specific options such as gap open and gap extend parameters, although there are no clear default values given by MAFFT.

Unless gap parameters are really important it would be best to just leave them out and use the presets.
