Summary0000039: MEGA Invalid Name Help!!
DescriptionHi there, I have currently have 3 versions of MEGA on my Macbook Air: 5, 6.06 and 7, as per suggested by my professor to fix the issue. No version of this application will open my .fas files we have been provided to complete assignments. It says each file I try to open in MEGA has an invalid name. Could you help in any way for me to get these sequences up and running on MEGA for me? My professor has tried to work on my computer on it, but hasn't a clue what is wrong.

I have resolved this bug by parsing the file format extension from the format combo box and assigning it to the filter property of the dream control file edit control.

Hi Ryan,

I am writing in response to the bug report you recently submitted regarding the MEGA software. Could you send me one of the .fas files so I can have a look at it? Also, could you do the following:

    Open a terminal and use the 'cd' command to navigate to the directory where the files are located.
    Execute the 'pwd' command and send me the output.
    Execute 'ls -alhL' and send me the output'

Also, are you able to open other files in MEGA? What happens when you try to open an example file by clicking on the 'Examples' button in bottom of the main MEGA window.
