Hi, Joel,
Thanks for your immediate response.
I attached an example of my files. The original file is in MEAG3 format (it\'s just a simple example which contains only 4 genes) and the new sequences are in FASTA format (they are in the same length as sequences from the old file), and I hope to merge the 3 new sequences into the old file but I don\'t know how to do it in MEGA3.
Actually, the original file was from a previous phylogenetic study of Shigella, and now I want to included some new strains from EIEC. I think we will always meet such problem in further studies. However, I don\'t know how to EDIT a MEGA3 file. It seems that we can\'t make any edit (such as add new sequences) in the \'Sequence Data Explorer\' window. I think it will be very convenience for us if it can take a similar function from your \'Alignment Explorer\' window.
Thank you very much and looking forward to get your solution soon.
Best wishes,
Yours,
Jian
