Summary0004320: MEGA11 Crashing
DescriptionReport bugs or other issues regarding the MEGA software.

The system has continuously crashed at different stages of sequence alignment. It seems incapable of uploading sequences or following through with a sequences alignment currently. I was able to load a saved session with a few sequences on it, but I cannot do anything with the saved sequences.

Hi Kathryn,

Try setting the format to “FASTA (text)” that seems to work for me. I’m looking into why the default “FASTA” doesn’t work.

Hi Kathy,

We have fixed the Genbank import issue. It will now will show a window, where you can select the sequence name you want to use like MEGA 5.0. We also added the ability to import sequences from the main blast result page (where you can check the boxes next to sequences you want to download). We are hoping to release a new version of MEGA 5.2 very soon (within a week or two).
