Summary0004515: MEGA 11 crashes when trying to upload fasta files
DescriptionIn the Alignment Explorer, whenever I try to Insert Sequence From File, the software crashes abruptly each time.
I am using a Lenovo laptop with Windows 11.
MEGA version: 11 (64-bit)
Steps To ReproduceAlign > Edit/Build Alignment
Create a new alignment > Protein
Edit > Insert Sequence From File
Select 6 fasta files from folder, click "open"
Software shuts down (no error message)

I am writing in response to your question regarding the MEGA software. To sign up, just go to www.megasoftware.net and select the version you want to download. Then you will be taken to the signup page where you provide your name and email address. Then, once you click the ‘Submit Request’ button, you will be sent an email with a link for downloading the software. If for some reason that doesn’t work, just let me know which version you need and I will send you a download link directly.
