DescriptionReport bugs or other issues regarding the MEGA software. Everytime I try to open an alignment, regardless of format the program shuts down. If it does manage to stay open, when I try to edit the alignment or run an analysis the program freezes and shuts down.

Hello Asma,

I am writing in response to the bug report you recently submitted regarding an error when opening a sequence data file in MEGA. To fix the problem, simply change the file extension of the sequence data file to ‘.fas’ when using fasta formatted data. Attached is the file you uploaded to our server with the file name changes.
