Summary0004578: Nucleotides disappear during manual alignment
DescriptionReport bugs or other issues regarding the MEGA software

When using my MacBook Pro (macOS Ventura 13.2.1) on MEGA when I try to shift my nucleotides right, it just deletes the nucleotide to the right. I have attached pictures below of this happening when I press the "move selected block right" button. I tried using MEGA 11 and MEGA X and this happens with both versions. Then, if I highlight the strand, it changes my nucleotides as well.
Steps To ReproduceHighlight the nucleotide you want to move and then press the "move selected block right" button.

Hi Sunandan,

Could you please clarify how MEGA stops functioning? Does the entire program crash (close unexpectedly)? Does it stop responding to mouse clicks and keyboard commands entirely? Does the selection just not move to the right?
