Summary0004623: Unable to Bootstrap Phylogeny
DescriptionHello,
Every time I try to run a bootstrapped phylogeny in MEGA-11 the program, without fail, crashes. Because of this, it is impossible for me to use MEGA-11 for my research. I have downloaded the correct version and ensured that the program is fully downloaded before use. For reference, MEGA-X does not have this issue.

Hi Sony,

I am writing in response to your questions regarding the MEGA software. Which version of MEGA are you using? To edit taxa names, double a name in the Tree Explorer window. Then you will be able to select the taxon name and edit it. Alternatively, paste the tree image into a Word document. Then right-click the image and select Edit Picture. When prompted to convert the image to a Microsoft Office drawing object, select yes. Then you will be able to edit the text in the image.
If the Stats/Frequency item is disabled in the View menu then bootstrap must not have been used during tree construction. If you are not able to resolve these issues, you can send me the data used to create the trees along with a detailed description of the exact steps and settings/options used and I can try and help. I would keep your data confidential and delete it as soon as the issues are resolved.
