0000533: Units of time
Hello!

To me it is not clear, and as far as I can see it is not mentioned anywhere, what the unit of time is in the Timetree output files (especially in Reltime where no calibration is used).

It would be great if you could clarify this!

Best Regards,
Natalie

Dear Concepcion:
This bug is not longer there in version 4.0 (beta) of MEGA. You can download that from www.megasoftware.net/mega4 website.

Hi Natalie,

I am writing in response to your question regarding reltimes produced by the MEGA software. The unit of time for relative divergence times without using calibrations is not defined. Relative divergence times are useful for determining the order and spacing of divergence events. When calibrations are used, the unit of time will be that of the calibrations used.
