Hi Ben,

I am writing in response to your questions regarding the MEGA format specification. A formal grammar of the specification has not been published. However, it is described in the MEGA help documentation. I have attached the documentation in a .chm file along with various examples of the format that may be helpful. In the chm file, if you go to ‘Part III: Input Data Types and File Format ->MEGA Input Data Formats ->Sequence Input Data (also Distance Input Data) ->Keywords for Format Statement’, I think you will find what you are looking for.
