0000567: Window is stuck above and to right of screen
I have repeatedly opened two different files and MEGA opens the files just fine, but the MEGA window begins half way up my screen then continues above the screen. So the GUI commends Phylogeny, Distance, etc are not visible so the program is not usable. It is not possible to drag the window anywhere. I have tried using a second auxiliary monitor and the problem persists.

Thanks in advance if you can figure out a fix. I hope to teach a computer lab using mega this Friday afternoon 10/20.

I am using MacOS Sierra 10.12.6
Just opened the file by dragging the filename to the MEGA icon. (BTW it seems not possible to open either of these files from the File - Open command. Perhaps MEGA is not very compatible with this version of MacOS?)

Thank you for mega. It is a great app for teaching this course. Kevin Omland

Hi Kevin,

I am writing in response to your question regarding the MEGA software. To try and re-position the main MEGA window, you can try the following:

First, close MEGA if it is opened. Next, right-click the MEGA icon in the Applications folder and select 'Show Package Contents'. Then in Finder, navigate to "drive_c/users/Wineskin/Application Data/MEGA7_7170509-i386/Private/Ini/" and delete the file named MEGA50State.ini. Finally, try and open MEGA from the Applications directory
If that doesn't work, open MEGA and then in the menu at the top of the screen click Window->Zoom which should maximize the MEGA window to fit the screen
If that fails, go to System Preferences->Displays and then change the screen resolution. The OS should then reposition Windows on screen.
