Summary0006397: Cannot load tree file
DescriptionHi,

I am having problems loading a tree file when I use the Timetree wizard in Mega.
I get this error: error loading the tree file. Please check that the file is formatted correctly and taxa names match those in sequence data.

I can not see any difference in taxa names. The sequence file I have uploaded is the one I used to make the tree.

I have attached the files I have used. Do you see what could cause this error?

Hi Ingrid,

I am writing in response to the bug report you recently submitted regarding the MEGA software. I looked at the input files you uploaded in the backbone.zip archive and found that the .nwk file is not formatted correctly. It is using the NEXUS format but MEGA requires the Newick format.
