DescriptionI am working with MEGA6 to make a phylogenetic tree using an alignment I made in MEGA. I inserted an image into my tree and cannot figure out how to remove it. Please let me know if it is possible to remove the image, as I have tried many times and cannot figure out how to remove it. Thanks!

Hi Molly,

I am writing in response to your question regarding the MEGA software. Sorry for the late response. To hide an image that has been added to a tree, select the node/branch that the image was added to, click the subtree drawing options button on the left toolbar, select the Label tab in the subtree options dialog, and uncheck the option to Display Image. Alternatively, you can click Subtree->Draw Options->Clear all Subtree Drawing Options to remove all subtree formatting.
