0000879: Newick export of tree is unreadable
The export of nwk format from the tree explorer produced incorrect and/or unreadable nwk files.
Other programs than MEGA X fail to open the resulting files at all while MEGA X can open the resulting nwk file, but the data in file fails to reproduce the correct tree. I suspect a general conversion problem (data format).
Select mtsx file and export tree in nwk format. Reimport of resulting file does NOT reproduce tree in MEGA X.
This file contains unpublished sequence data, please handle with confidentiality.

Hi Meike,

I am writing in response to the bug report you recently submitted regarding the MEGA software. I am not able to duplicate the error you described in your report. Regardless of which application I use to open the exported newick file, I get the same tree. The taxa may be arranged a bit differently but the topology itself is still the same.

Hi Glen,

I installed the new build and it now works perfectly, thank you so much. Have a great weekend.

Best regards,
Meike

Additionally, I reproduced successfully this error on my PC at home (which is also running Win10). Maybe you could give me a guess for a fix, but I knwo this might be not doable as you cannot reproduce the problem.
