Summary | 0001355: Mintime only calibration sometimes gives an error
Description | There seems to be a problem with the mintime only option. I have done a few tests (see attached file).
Steps To Reproduce | Reltime-ML Use mtCDNA.meg and mtCDNA.nwk as input files; options other than calibrations: Tamura-Nei model, Uniform rates, use all sites, threads=4 Select gibbon as outgroup (select branch) Select constraints: a. Single calibration, Fixed time, human-chimpanzee at 6.00, click ok no error b. Single calibration, Uniform distribution, human-chimpanzee at 5.00-7.00, click ok no error c. Single calibration, Exponential distribution, human-chimpanzee at offset=5, lamba=0.250, click ok no error d. Single calibration, Mintime Only, human-chimpanzee at 6.00, click ok --> error e. Single calibration, Maxtime Only, human-chimpanzee at 6.00, click ok same error as in case d f. Two calibrations: a. First one: fixed time, human-chimpanzee at 6.00 b. Second one: Mintime Only, chimpanzee-gorilla at 8.00, click ok no error at this stage. Proceed to set other options (see above) and launch analysis it starts but soon exits with an error g. The analysis runs correctly if I keep everything as in point f but switch the order of the two calibrations (first: mintime only human-chimp=6.00, second fixed time chimpanzee-gorilla=8.00). h. The analysis runs correctly if I keep everything as in point f but change the second calibration to an exponential distribution with offset=8.00 and lambda=0.250 i. Two calibrations: a. First one: Mintime only, human-chimpanzee at 6.00 b. Second one: Mintime only, chimpanzee-gorilla at 8.00 -->Error j. Two calibrations: a. First one: Exponential distribution, human-chimpanzee offset=6.00, lambda=0.25 b. Second one: Exponential distribution, chimpanzee-gorilla offset=8.00, lambda=0.25 This analysis runs correctly.
Additional Information | I have screenshots of the errors but cannot upload the file because it is too big. I can email it, if you would like. Thanks! fabia
