Description | Dear MEGA team, I have constructed a tree using MEGA X under Ubuntu platform, generating a tree file with .mtsx. Then I want to open this .mtsx tree file with MEGA X under windows platform, it reported an error saying this tree file was generated by a linux 64-bit system, but this is a windows 64-bit system. Is there any possible way to to open the .mtsx tree file with windows? Thank you very mchu! Jie | ||||||||

I've seen this in the past but haven't been able to duplicate it with any reliability. I've looked into it and can't seem to cause it again. I posted an open question to stack overflow about it and will hopefully get some info. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3190238/form-already-exists-after-form-is-closed-and-another-instance-opened-delphi [^] |

Hi Jie, I am writing in response to your question regarding the MEGA software. Unfortunately, the MEGA tree session files are not cross-platform compatible. However, you can export your tree to a Newick text file which can be opened on any platform. You can do this from the Tree Explorer by clicking File->Export Current Tree (Newick). -- Best regards, Glen Stecher Institute for Genomics and Evolutionary Medicine igem.temple.edu |
