| Description | Hello,
I'm using MEGA software for a while now and all I have are complains.
I can edit my sequences but when I pass to the alignment, there are many issues.
I start by checking if my sequences are alright and when I align them by Clustal, the software can't indicate my where are the points that don't match very well. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. So, in cases of mutation identification, becomes really hard since MEGA don't indicates where the differences are and match everything, even when they don't really match.
In the translated protein sequences, as well!
Another problem is when I build my consensus sequence.
If I'm just aligning sequences, the Clustal works well, but when I want to align the consensus sequences, the Clustal function doesn't work at all and I have to work with MUSCLE function instead.
Besides that, there are other problems like closing in the middle of work, breaks... I mean a hand full of problems which it didn't happend or not so much in MEGA 7. |
| Steps To Reproduce | try to build a consensus sequence, and before select the one that is the reverse complement and try to use the Clustal instead of Muscle and after do the opposite.
If looking for mutations, see that all the sequences matches even if there is a mutation. |
