Summary | 0002720: Addition of letters to the sequence end
Description | I noticed that in the newest version of MEGA 10.2.4, single nucleotides are added to the end of some sequences after their opening in Alignment Explorer. For example, a letter 'a' is added to the end of the sequence amphibian_Salamandrella_keyserlingii. In fasta file, this sequence is ended with 'tga' but after opening, it has at the end 'tgaa'. This problem does not occur in the version 10.0.5.
Steps To Reproduce | Open the file example.fas: Align -> Edit/Build Alignment -> Retrieve a sequence from a file

Dear Yingfei, MEGA has limited multi-threaded support. You can run multiple analyses at once, but analyses such as bootstrap don’t take full advantage of modern multi-threaded systems. We are currently in the planning stages of making MEGA much more multi-threaded and support a wide range of high throughput systems. Daniel Peterson |
