| Summary | 0002842: problem with generating .meg file |
| Description | Dear MEGA team,
I use MEGA as a researcher, but also as a teacher on my Bioinformatics class.
Students have recently installed the latest window version available for download (version 10.2.5, build 102110330-x86_64) and found a problem in converting an alignment (.fas file) into a .meg file for phylogenetic analysis. I have an older version in my computer (version 10.1.6, build 10191127-x86_64) that runs the same input file and the same steps with no errors.

| Steps To Reproduce | Open file (fasta file in attach) and align with ClustalW.
In the alignment window, on the menu Data, choose "Phylogenetics Analysis". This gives an error and we are not able to save the alignment as .meg file.
The same error appears on the menu Data, if we choose "Export Alignment" > "MEGA format"
This error happens in version 10.2.5, build 102110330-x86_64 and NOT in version 10.1.6, build 10191127-x86_64. |
