Summary0002844: Color phylogenetic tree by labels (for quick coloring)
DescriptionSuggestion regarding the MEGA X software.
Hey I found out that coloring phylogenetic tree in MEGA X is a daunting task. So I would like to suggest a feature where you can color phylogenetic tree by its labels by simply highlighting & selecting the sample's names and color them. I hope this feature would improve MEGA X's user friendliness greatly. Thank you.

Dear Curran,

There are a lot of programs which generate CLUSTAL and Fasta files. A number of these programs write out files which don’t conform to the file format standards. We can’t make MEGA handle these new formats until we are made aware of them. I will see what I can do about having MEGA ignore non alphabetic data when reading in files.
