0000541: Program not responding

Description

When I highlight the data that I want to align the program stops working and freezes up. I am able to go to align by ClustalW, select the data I want, and set the parameters, but as soon as I run it the program stops responding and I have to close it and try again. I have not been able to get past this and it won't let me align at all.

It sounds like progress updates are happening so infrequently that it appears that MEGA has stopped working. If your data is large, it is recommended to use the MUSCLE option for alignment which works much better with large data.
