| Summary | 0005818: Constantly freezes |
| Description | This latest version of Mega (Mega 11) seems to be almost unusable. I have tried on 2 different computers both with high powered GUI and 16gb ram (we use these computers for next gen sequencing so they have high compute power). Mega is able to load but just constantly freezes or takes so long to respond that you can't use it anyway. I only have 26 samples that I am trying to align with the longest being 8000bp. Most are no more than 2000. I have also tried other alignments with smaller sequences and get the same problem. It has been getting progressively more glitchy over the last few months. I installed an old version on our other computer and that one appears to be fine (Mega x). |
