Description | The alignment explorer and sequence editor frequently crashes when editing sequences. The error message is "access violation. Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption. Press Abort to kill the program." Both options crash the software. Crashes happen frequently. |
Steps To Reproduce | Open 2 different .AB1 files to review sequences, reverse complementing the reverse primer sequence.
Import sequences to alignment viewer.
Align using ClustalW algorithm.
Select short segment of one sequence to paste over aligned section of complementary strand. If crash does not occur, try adding and deleting nucleotides. |
