Summary0001038: AB1 file cannot be opened
DescriptionI installed MEGA 7 on my Macbook with MacOS 10.14 as instructed. My sequence data is saved as AB1 files. Whenever I try to open them with MEGA it shows an error message saying "There is no Windows program configured to open this type of file." I also tried the older versions MEGA 5.2.2, which does not open at all, and 6.06, which does not show a window, so both cannot be used.

Hi Vanessa,

I am writing in response to the bug report you recently submitted regarding the MEGA software. It sounds like you are opening the ABI file by double-clicking it. The file should open if you do the following:

Launch MEGA7 by double-clicking its icon in the Applications folder
On the main form click Align->Edit/View Sequence Files (Trace)...
Select the .abi file you want to open
