Summary | 0001468: Slow/poor alignment traversal |
Description | Moving along a 16kb alignment is really challenging. Horizontally, using the arrows is extremely slow and scrolling using the touch pad is buggy, slow, and oriented in the opposite direction of intuitive scrolling on a mac. There are no scrolling arrows on which to click to scroll without physically moving the horizontal scroll bar, making the window move in large window sizes. Moving vertically, the arrows are again buggy and slow, and there are no arrow puttons to click to move down. Scrolling with the touch pad is super slow once you extend beyond the window. Clicking on sequence names rarely if ever works, and renaming sequences is a pain. Can usually only accomplish with ctl + clicking. Copying and pasting from outside MEGA to inside the alignment is not possible as far as I can tell, which is a huge inconvenience. That means addition of new sequences has to be done either in a text editor (easiest) or in the app (which works terribly at the moment). Changing from ctl to command is arbitrarily done. |
