Summary0000027: A virus in Mega7 exe file
DescriptionUpon the completetion of Mega7 GUI version for Windows installation, a file 'Mega7.exe//data0028.res' was identified as a Trojan virus by the latest Kaspersky antivirus. The 'Mega7.exe' was, after that, identified as a threat as well and deleted.
There was no problem with installation and use of the previous versions of Mega (e.g., Mega 6.06 GUI for Windows).

Hi Alexandra,

I am writing in response to the bug report you recently submitted regarding the MEGA software. The Kaspersky antivirus software is FALSELY reporting that MEGA contains a virus. We have submitted a ticket with Kaspersky asking them to resolve the issue. In the meantime, you can add an exclusion to Kaspersky for MEGA or add MEGA to a list of trusted applications.
