| Description | First of all, I use MEGA11(GUI) on M2Mac(Macbook Pro M2, 2022) with OS Monterey 12.5.1 I know that MEGA software currently don't support ARM architecture. So it's only report. Almost all programs seems to be work well(I don't test with large sequences). However, sometimes graphical bug is happen. When the alignment explorer window is open just after alignment, some icons in tool bar are not shown(Screen shot is attached). It is not serious bug, because if I move cursor on tool bar, icons will appear. | ||||||||||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1: open multiple FASTA file(.fasta) with drug&drop 2: select "align" 3: alignment explorer window open automatically(Screen shot is attached). 4: move cursor to "white" tool bar, then icon will appear | ||||||||||||
| Additional Information | This bug not affect to calculation. I can make phylogenetic tree with MEGA11. | ||||||||||||

Hello Catherine, I am writing in response to the bug report you recently submitted regarding an error in MEGA when opening a large tree file. This is a known bug in MEGA caused by taxa names that are very long. It has been fixed in the newest version of MEGA which will be version 5.1 (the beta is available for download from www.megasoftware.net ). I was able to view your tree file using version 5.1, however the tree is very large and so MEGA’s tree explorer was not very responsive when displaying it. Best regards, Glen Stecher |
