Summary | 0004218: impossible to export my time tree in nexus
Description | Hello, I am currently working with MEGA11 to try and estimate timetrees and divergence time for a phylogeny I'm working on. Everything went nice except that now that I have my timetree I can't export it in nexus format. When I open my mega session and I try to export my timetree to nexus I get an erro saying "Oh no! an error occured when trying to export the clock tree" and that's it (note that I can export it to newick without problem and the rest of the tree explorer option seem fine, but I need my tree in nexus format now). The weirdest thing is that when I run an analysis and export the nexus timetree without ever closing mega it works, but if I ran an analysis, save my mega session and close it, and then open the session again, this is where I have this bug. This is a problem because I now can't export me tree in nexus for all the analysis I already did, even if i saved the session. Thanks you in advance, Margaux Darnis
Steps To Reproduce | 1) create a timetree with the Clock - compute timetree - RelRime-MS option until the end 2) save the session in Tree explorer and close mega 3) reopen the session and try to export the timetree to a nexus format

Hello Sebastien, I am writing in response to your feature request for the MEGA software. Thanks for the feedback. It is possible to edit protein sequence data in the Alignment Explorer. To delete a sequence, right-click on a sequence name and select ‘Delete’. Then, when you are done editing, you can export the edited alignment to a .meg file. It is also possible to deselect sequences in the Sequence Data Explorer so that they are not included in calculations. With regards to memory limitations, we are working on a 64-bit version that will greatly expand MEGA’s capacity to utilize available memory. However, the 64-bit version probably won’t be ready until mid to late 2013. Best regards, Glen Stecher |
