| Summary | 0004249: frequent unexpected quits |
| Description | Hi, I am using MEGA Vs 11.0.13 for macos Monterey Vs 12.6.1 (Monterey) with 64 GB RAM.
MEGA unexpectedly quits at
1. immediately after deleting/reinstalling MEGA (with or without deleting the files in the ~/Library/Application suppirt/MEGA folder)
2. during phylogeny calculations (esp. bootstrap repetitions)
3. whenever something unexpected happens.
I was using multi Fasta nucleotide files which look okay in editor (text-only), max 25 seqs, and 1400 length, so nothing special.
In some cases, the calculations went fine, in others, it did not and I stopped after having repeat crashes with one single file, which had worked previously.
Tree visualization did not pose any problems. |
| Steps To Reproduce | There is no single step to reproduce quitting, but it happens randomly, but as said above sometimes during opening the MSFs durign the dilog, mostly during ML Phylogeny calculations during bootstrap.
The only caveat was that some od the nucl. seqs contained the letter "N" |
