Summary0000430: Cannot generate tree
DescriptionI am completely new to using the mega software and encountered an error the very first time I tried it. I am trying to generate a phylogeny tree using my sequence alignment. I have 1279 sequences and the alignment is not completely clean, in the sense that it still has some gaps which need to be pruned. However, before I get on to pruning anything that might be significant for understanding the phylogenetic relationships of my enzymes, I thought of having a look at the tree. I downloaded the latest version of Mega (7 GUI) the first time, however, when I encountered the error, I tried uninstalling the software, reinstalling it again, also, trying with older versions of Mega, but, to no avail. While the sequence just loads fine, an error occurs when it's time to display the tree. The error bar reads: Access violation at address 00DC84C4 in module 'Mega.exe.' . Read of address 00000068. I am attaching a screenshot of the same below. I have no idea what this means.

 Hi Stephlina,

I am writing in response to the bug report you recently submitted regarding the MEGA software. Can you send me the data you used when you encountered the error, along with a screen shot of the settings you used? That way I can replicate the error.
