| Summary | 0005580: MEGA 11.0.13 won't run on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS |
| Description | I downloaded and installed MEGA 11 for Debian Linux (Ubuntu 22.04 LTS). Choosing either About from the help menu or Edit/Build alignment from the Align menu results in MEGA locking up, not displaying the expected window and being unable to close the open main menu window. The Open File/Session menu works and allows me to open a fasta file and to convert it to ,meg format.
When I observed this behavior I uninstalled MEGA, downloaded it again, and reinstalled it. Nothing changed |

Click on About from the Help menu
or
CLick the Align button then Choose Edit/Build alignment. |
