Summary | 0006441: Outgroup for calibration and analysis settings
Description | Hi, I am doing a dating analysis with ciliate sequences. I don't have many fossil calibrations, and therefore I want to use outgroup fossils as part of the calibrations. But I get a message that its not allowed to use outgroup nodes for calibrations, and that these will be disregarded. Why is this not allowed? Also, I am wondering if you have any suggestions for the memory consumption for such a large dataset (approximately 20 000 sequences). Do you have any idea about roughly how many threads and memory per cpu would be optimal? I would be very grateful for your input on this. Thank you! Best, Ingrid
