Summary | 0006483: branch length units
Description | Hi! I am using Mega11 version 11.0.13 on Windows 10 using amino acid sequences. Am able to get results from my data. Great! But what units are the branch lengths reported in? In Help, I read that the length of a branch is the # of substitutions per unit time between the 2 taxa it connects.. In an undated phylogram, wouldn't the branch length be the # substitutions per site? In a dated tree, wouldn't the branch length be the # substitutions per site per unit time? This is what I want.
