Summary | 0000688: Bug in the validation of character count |
Description | Hi, I am making a second bug report to you, because I noticed while writing the first one that ironically enough, your bug report submission form has a minor bug itself. When the user types in a message longer than 1024 characters in the Description text box, the JavaScript validation is triggered, and the text changes to a red font, with the message "Please provide a description of the issue" that should only be displayed when a message is missing, and not when it's exceeding the maximum character count. See this screenshot: https://puu.sh/zCYYX/8569cca99e.png [^] |
Steps To Reproduce | - Write a long message in the required Description box of the bug report form on the website. |
Additional Information | I'm pretty sure it's caused by this variable mismatch in your embedded JS script: https://puu.sh/zD01S/d28301f718.png [^] |
