DescriptionDear,

Can you explain why the number of parameters estimated in the model selection option appear so large.
For example a JC model, I expect 1 parameter. Output in MEGA says 21.

 Hi Olivier,

I am writing in response to your question regarding the MEGA software. As mentioned in the caption for model selection, MEGA reports the number of parameters as the number of internal branches plus the number of free parameters for the model.
