Summary0000151: Test of selection
DescriptionHi,
I thought that the test for selection was to be applied either :
 * on interspecific data in which case you have to provide a sequence per species
 * on intraspecific data and in this last case you have to give the frequencies of the sequences (I guess repeat the sequences that are observed several times)
However in the example (http://www.megasoftware.net/web_help_7/helpfile.htm#hc_first_time_user.htm [^]) for testing selection, you just give 3 alleles of HLA-A locus. did I misunderstood?

Thx

I would imagine that we would want backwards compatibility with MEGA 2 .tre files in the latest version of MEGA.

You can use a *.mts file to retrieve MEGA2 tree into MEGA3. The backward compatibility is guaranteed by the mts format.

Ok, this makes sense. We should put something in the documentation to inform people about this.
